Down Cemetery Road

Premiere: October 29 on Apple TV+

Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson star in this adaptation of Mick Herron’s novel set in a sleepy Oxford suburb. After a house explosion, a girl goes missing, and a concerned neighbor (Wilson) and a private investigator (Thompson) team up to find her, but instead find themselves in the middle of a dark conspiracy.

It: Welcome to Derry

Premiere: October 26 on HBO

If Derry makes you nostalgic for Stephen King’s 1986 story about a creepy clown who targets kids in small-town Maine (It), you’re in for even more chills. It: Welcome to Derry stars Taylour Paige and Jovan Adepo as a new-in-town couple who settle in with their son, only to find children have started disappearing. You know the drill.

All Her Fault

Premiere: November 6 on Peacock

Based on Andrea Mara’s thrilling novel, All Her Fault, a Chicago mother shows up to pick her son up from his first playdate. But the woman who answers the door is a stranger who doesn’t recognize her or know anything about her son. Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning co-star.

Death By Lightning

Premiere: November 6 on Netflix

This limited series follows the assassination of President James A. Garfield, whose time in office (200 days) was cut short after he was shot in 1881. Michael Shannon plays the president, Matthew Macfadyen stars as Charles J. Guiteau, the assassin, Nick Offerman plays Vice President Chester A. Arthur and Bradley Whitford is Secretary of State James Blaine. Based on the 2011 nonfiction book Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President by Candice Millard, the series examines the extraordinary life and death of the 20th U.S. president.

Pluribus

Premiere: November 7 on Apple TV+

Rhea Seehorn, the standout attorney from Better Call Saul, stars in this existential sci-fi series from Vince Gilligan (creator of Breaking Bad and co-creator of Better Call Saul). Seehorn plays Carol, a miserable-but-intriguing author charged with saving the world from happiness. In an eerie twist of Apple TV+ marketing, the company released a phone number to call for more information about the show. The message says, “Hi Carol. We're so glad you called. We can't wait for you to join us. Dial 0 and we'll get back to you via text message." The text message says, "Please know your life is your own, Carol. You have agency!" Sounds like this show could be unusual.

Palm Royale Season 2

Premiere: November 12 on Apple TV+

If you didn’t catch this 1960s drama last season, here’s your chance to catch up. Season 2 of Palm Royale has much to unwind. Will Robert (Ricky Martin) survive being shot after impersonating an astronaut? Will anyone wise up to the fact that Norma (Carol Burnett) assumed the real Norma’s identity long ago and what will happen to Maxine (Kristen Wiig) after that gala meltdown? Finally, since Mary (Julia Duffy) attempted and failed to kill Richard Nixon, what’s next for her? Stay tuned for color, clothes and chaos.

If watching hot realtors sell lavish California estates inspires you, Selling the OC is back with returning and new cast members. A lot has changed in their personal lives, but you can still expect plenty of drama, competition and property envy in the cutthroat world of Orange County real estate.

The Beast in Me

Premiere: November 13 on Netflix

This limited series, produced by Jodie Foster and Conan O’Brien, stars Claire Danes as Aggie Wiggs, a much-loved author who’s gone into seclusion after her son's death. When the person who buys the house next door (Matthew Rhys) turns out to be the lead suspect in his wife’s disappearance, Aggie descends a rabbit hole of obsession to investigate the truth.

Landman Season 2

Premiere: November 16 on Paramount+

One of the biggest hits from the Yellowstone franchise, Landman, deeply rooted in the wild Texas oil boom, carries on with its second season about black gold. Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia and Sam Elliott rock the monologues this season and portray the world of the oil industry and its true-to-life social and economic realities that come with the boom.

A Man on the Inside Season 2

Premiere: November 20 on Netflix

Season 2 brings back our favorite undercover senior resident Charles Nieuwendyk (Ted Danson), this time as an undercover college professor at Wheeler College. Now he’s investigating a lengthy list of suspects who may have blackmailed the college president. Meanwhile, he becomes enamored with a free-spirited music teacher at the school (Mary Steenburgen, who he’s married to IRL). Stay tuned for more mystery and romantic chemistry.

Stranger Things Season 5

Premiere: November 26 on Netflix

Netflix keeps up the suspense by slowly releasing the final season of Stranger Things in three parts (four episodes drop on November 26, three on Christmas and the finale airs on New Year’s Eve). Each episode is also movie-length, many over two hours. You may need a recap since it’s been three years since Season 4 premiered. But the series picks up with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) forced into hiding as the government searches for her. Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers) reprises her role as does David Harbour (Hopper) and the rest of the kids. Expect more mayhem and confusion as the Hawkins gang confronts the Upside Down one last time.
